Confession Time (I was wrong...)

Confession time.

A few weeks ago I found out that I was wrong about something.

Yeah I know.

It shocked me as well.

And like so many other stories of book nerdie's (Is that a word?) downfalls...

... this one also includes a book.

Let me explain.

I've been on social media, and I've seen the book Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir everywhere. Some say it's good, others say it's complex.

At first, I was skeptical for two reasons:

1. I am not a sci-fi girlie

But most importantly...

2. I am not someone who likes reading heavy and complex things

So I did what anyone would do. I asked my Booksta friends. Their responses varied from:

"It's pretty good"

to

"It's pleasant"

to

"You'll HATE yourself for putting it off"

Now I was slightly intrigued.

Could I be...wrong?

Surely not.

Only one way to find out.

I picked up the book. Started. Title, dedication, first page...

LET ME TELL YOU.

Turns out -contrary to popular belief- Nada can be wrong!

I WAS HOOKED.

This book was so good.

Like, it's just so good, no words would amount to that.

And when I say plot twist. I MEAN PLOT TWIST.

I have to end this here because otherwise I am going to spoil it…

Stories are supposed to have a moral…

Something profound.

Don’t worry, this story has one:

If a book nerd recommends a book you haven’t read before?

Read it.

You might be pleasantly surprised.

Or they might give you address to a mosquito…

Just roll the dice I guess.

It’ll be a new experience either way.

That’s a wrap:
